Meet the South Valley Chamber Staff

Jay Francis

CEO and President

Jay was appointed as president & CEO of the South Valley Chamber of Commerce in September 2020. Jay had served on the chamber board for 12 years prior to his appointment and served as the chair for 5 years when the chamber was the Sandy Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to this appointment Jay had been with the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies for 35 years and retired on May 1, 2020. During his tenure with the Larry H. Miller Group, Jay had several positions with the Utah Jazz, Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment Group, Larry H. Miller Management, Miller Family Real Estate, Larry H. Miller Charities, and Larry H. Miller Family Office.

Francis serves and has served on various boards which include past chair for the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, past chair for United Way of Salt Lake, and past chairman of the board for EDCUtah. He currently serves on the board of United Way of Salt Lake and the Intermountain Outreach Committee. In 2019, Francis received an honorary doctorate from SLCC and in 2024 was honored by Utah Business as CEO of the year.

Jayme Jensen

Vice President, Managing Director and Executive Assistant

Jayme Jensen is the Managing Director at the South Valley Chamber, where she has also served as Executive Assistant to President and CEO Jay Francis since joining the organization in June 2021. In her current role, Jayme oversees the planning and execution of major Chamber events, including the Titan Awards, Business Institute programs, and the Women in Business. She also plays a key role in managing the Chamber’s day-to-day operations.

Before joining the Chamber, Jayme built a successful 21-year career in human resources, working across a range of industries including hospitality, transportation, and technology.

A Utah native, Jayme resides in South Jordan with her husband, Anthony, and their three amazing children – two daughters and a son. A devoted supporter of her family’s interests, she takes pride in being their biggest cheerleader. In her spare time, Jayme enjoys cooking, traveling, watching baseball and hockey, and spending time with their lovable labradoodles.

Cory Covington

Vice President of Business Development

Cory Covington joined the South Valley Chamber as business development director in August 2023. In this role, he is responsible for recruiting new businesses to join the Chamber as members and sponsors. He has over 20 years of experience in business development, communications, and media and public relations.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Cory worked for the Utah Jazz as a member of their media relations team and as a producer of the pre- and post-game shows for the television broadcasts of Jazz games. He also spent 3 years doing business development for my529, Utah’s college savings plan, where he worked with financial advisors in helping them invest their client assets.

After graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in communications, Cory married his wife, Amanda, and together they have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two dogs. Cory says raising his two sons was the most difficult but most rewarding role in his career. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, skiing, pickleball, and serving in the community.

Dana Reid

Director of Member Services

Dana Reid joined the South Valley Chamber in 2023 as Director of Member Services. In this role, she connects with new members, strengthens relationships with existing members, and oversees small Chamber events, including monthly networking events and three annual golf tournaments.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Dana spent over 20 years with the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, most recently as Director of Marketing Services for Larry H. Miller Dealerships. Her career has centered on corporate advertising, marketing, sponsorships, and event planning.

A Utah native, Dana is a proud graduate of Southern Utah University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Miriam Dixon

Director of Marketing

Miriam Dixon is the Director of Marketing at the South Valley Chamber of Commerce. In this role, she oversees the Chamber’s marketing and communications efforts, including all Chamber publications, graphic design, and social media platforms. Prior to joining the Chamber, Miriam completed a communications internship with the City of South Jordan, where she gained experience in public relations and community outreach.

A graduate of Utah State University, Miriam earned a degree in Journalism and Communication with a focus on public relations and social media, along with a minor in communication studies. She enjoys using her creativity to craft campaigns that connect people and strengthen community relationships.

Outside of work, Miriam is an avid Aggie fan and can often be found cheering on Utah State football, basketball, and volleyball. She also enjoys spending time with her family and planning her next travel adventure.

Diana Lund

Events and Business Development Coordinator

Diana Lund joined the South Valley Chamber in late 2025, drawn to its mission of supporting the South Valley’s vibrant and expanding business community. With over 15 years of experience in client partnerships and business management, Diana brings a people-centered approach and strategic insight to her role, creating value for members and helping local businesses thrive.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Diana built and operated her own business, Dialyn – Healing Skincare, a home-based health spa in South Jordan focused on self-care, wellness, and natural aging education. As a small business owner herself, she understands firsthand the importance of community and the power of strong connections.

Diana is passionate about supporting local entrepreneurs, fostering meaningful relationships, and contributing to a thriving South Valley. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Utah’s natural beauty and indulging in all things self-care with her friends and family.

Zoram Dean

Sports and Tourism Manager, Visit Salt Lake

Zoram Dean graduated from Brigham Young University in 2016, majoring in Sports Management. He currently serves as the Senior Sales Manager for Sports Salt Lake and oversees all sports-related tourism in the South Valley region for the South Valley Chamber.

Through sports tourism, Zoram has helped to cultivate and boost a positive economic impact throughout the Salt Lake Valley and in other communities. In addition to bringing large-scale sporting events into the area, Zoram also enjoys supporting local sports clubs and athletic organizations. He is a coach of many youth teams and an official for several youth, recreational, high school, and adult sporting leagues currently operating throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Zoram and his family reside in Draper.

Missy Burton

Finance and Accounting, Elevated Bookkeeping and Accounting

Missy is the CFO and Co-Owner of Elevated Bookkeeping, where she helps small and mid-sized businesses achieve financial clarity and growth. With 20+ years of experience in accounting and financial management across consulting, retail, and healthcare, she specializes in improving cash flow, streamlining operations, and supporting strategic planning.

A Westminster College graduate with a master’s degree in accounting, Missy is known for her approachable style, innovative solutions, and dedication to client success. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling the world with her family.
