Jr. Women in Business (Jr. WIB)

The Jr. Women in Business (WIB) Scholarship Program is designed to help young women develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime both personally and professionally. Through hands-on experiences, meaningful mentorship, and direct access to accomplished business and community leaders, participants gain leadership skills, professional confidence, and real-world insight that extends far beyond high school.
As a Jr. WIB participant, you’ll build lasting connections, expand your network, and discover valuable community and professional resources that can support your college and career journey. This program is more than a scholarship, it’s a launchpad.
This immersive experience is designed to help you strengthen leadership abilities, explore career pathways, and develop the confidence to step boldly into your future.
Jr. WIB Scholarship Program
Each year, the Jr. WIB Program awards $1,000 scholarships to outstanding female high school seniors attending public, charter, or private high schools within the boundaries of the Canyons and Jordan School Districts.
Participants are selected based on their commitment to serving their community and their desire to actively engage with the South Valley Chamber Women in Business program.
Scholarships are awarded upon successful completion of the program in April 2027.
Application Deadline: Friday, April 3, 2026.
Eligibility: Current high school juniors (Program runs during your senior year: 2026–2027
Program Expectations
As a Jr. WIB participant, you will:
- Attend monthly WIB luncheons (typically held the 4th Tuesday of each month, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM)
- Participate in a job shadow experience coordinated by the WIB Committee
- Attend WIB Day at the Capitol during the legislative session
- Complete a service project in partnership with the South Valley Chamber
- Actively engage with your assigned Women in Business mentors
